The NCIAF team welcomed young farmers from the International Farm Management Association’s Next Gens Workshop.
Student Intern Tianna George-Peepeetch kicked the event off with a Menti quiz on Canadian and Indigenous agriculture. Chris McKee, Vice President of Business Development, introduced our organization to attendees from Canada, the US, Sweden, New Zealand, and Australia.
The group toured the First Nations University of Canada, then visited Ochapowace First Nation’s Community Garden, where our generous hosts shared their culture and invited participants to plant celery.
Thanks to Kokhum Bea's Café, the First Nations University tour guides, and our friends at Ochapowace for an unforgettable experience. We also extend our gratitude to IFMA for this opportunity.
