      • The number of $1,000.00 loans shall never exceed five (5) in any given fiscal year.
      • The number of $2,000.00 loans shall never exceed five (5) in any given fiscal year.
      • The number of $3,000.00 loans shall never exceed two (2) in any given fiscal year.

  4. Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneur Program Information
    • Loans of up to $20,000 are available to assist Indigenous Women entrepreneurs to start-up or expand their businesses.
    • A portion of the loan (up to a maximum of 45%) is forgivable and is determined on a case-by-case basis.

  1. Joint Venture Program

    • Financing up to the lesser of $1,000,000 or 50% of the fair market value of total project costs.
    • Minimum funding of $200,000.
    • Projects must be for-profit and commercially viable with total costs exceeding $500,000.
    • Priority given to higher-end value-added projects.
    • At least 51% owned and controlled by Manitoba First Nations.
  2. Entrepreneur Loan Program

    • Maximum loan amount of $200,000 or 50% of project costs.
    • Loan term of up to 10 years (20 years for buildings).
    • Must be a Manitoba First Nation member.
    • Required 5% equity.
  3. Community Economic Expansion

    • Maximum loan amount of $300,000 or 50% of the fair market value of the total project costs.
    • Loan term of up to 10 years (20 for buildings).
    • Interest free loan.
    • At least 51% owned and controlled by Manitoba First Nations.​​​
  4. Business Contribution Fund
    • This program is available to eligible First Nations businesses in Manitoba. Contributions may be made towards a startup, expansion, or acquisition of a viable business.
    • Up to 40% of eligible costs.
    • Maximum $99,999 for individual First Nation businesses.
    • Maximum $250,000 for businesses owned by Manitoba First Nations or groups.
    • A minimum of a 40% commercial loan is required as part of the total financing of the business.

  3. Red River Metis Personal Loan Program

    • Maximum loan amount of $40,000.

    • Additional loan set up fee.
  4. Small Business Grant and Loan Program 

    • Maximum loan amount of $30,000.
    • Combination of both a loan and grant.
