The Ochapowace Community Garden project aims to reconnect youth with traditional practices, involve elders, and supply healthy produce locally. While a larger vision of a future greenhouse has been a strategic goal for Ochapowace, a garden project was the logical way to start that journey.
June 12, 2025 NCIAF staff and summer students joined forces with Ochapowace Nation to support their community garden, showing how teamwork and a holistic approach can overcome challenges and grow something meaningful.
